California Institute of Technology (Caltech) is a small school with a big reputation. Located in Pasadena, just outside Los Angeles, it has fewer than 3,000 students in total but is globally renowned for its science and engineering programs. If you're a student there, applying, or just curious about life at Caltech, this WhatsApp group is a great place to hang out and pick up some useful information.

A Little About Caltech

Caltech was founded in 1891 and is a private research university. It's famous for physics, chemistry, engineering, computer science, and space research. It also runs NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), which is a big deal for space enthusiasts. Class sizes are small, and the workload is intense, so students often rely on each other for support. Pasadena is a calm, pretty city with good weather most of the year.

What Gets Shared in the Group

You'll find university news, announcements, videos, and updates on scholarships and research opportunities. Members also discuss courses, campus life, housing in Pasadena, internships, and general student stuff. If you have a question about applying or settling in, just post it, and someone will likely help.

Who Can Join

Current Caltech students, applicants, and folks who plan to apply in the future can all join. International students are particularly welcome, as they often need guidance on admission, visas, and living costs. Hearing from someone who's already gone through the process can be incredibly helpful.

Rules and a Quick Warning

• Stay on topic and be respectful.
• No spam or random ads.
• Be wary of anyone asking for money for scholarships or admission; always check important details on the official Caltech website.
